I entered Mdec competition pass it up last friday.. it is suppose to be an business plan with the use of IT technology .The idea is using IT to assist in fish farming .i want to make it to a FYP project.... is quite an confusing project but it is achievable but is it usable or tangible. The main technique or tools use in this project is data mining, business intelligent and hardware
The first step is i have to find an adviser. There are a few lecturers who have this interest.example Dr lee, Dr william , Miss Mano,Miss yap.I ask from Mr Albert and he say he interest in data mining. I decide to seek for other people advise. first I went to see Miss Yap about the format to write an FYP proposal. The proposal format is just introduction(a brief intro on back ground),problem statement(what problem facing) and solution(technique, tools and timeline etc.)
I tell Miss yap briefly about my idea, she ask me a few question . i then i realize how little i have prepare on this idea. Some question i can not even answer.haha.. kena shoot gao gao. I went to find Dr William to propose my idea. Dr william have to change the appointment with me because it is lunch time.
i went to lunch at block C. and then went to block B and online.. then i remembered that my brother is good in circuit board. i ask him whether my hardware is it achievable. He say it can be done but it is very expensive beside the similar hardware is in the market also.
when i was on my way to wait for Dr William , My brother told me his company problem and going to buy a software which is cost very expensive. There come my second idea, do a data warehouse for his company . I propose both idea to Dr William, my first idea he comment that the function is to little , he ask me whether i can add more functions to it
Second idea, he say i can take it as FYP also.. so i need to go to his company and made an interview. What the problem the company facing and what the company expecting the software can do.
This is the basic idea of the 2 idea, now is read up all the technique and tools that can help me in doing this proposal..
